The Madison County Emergency Operations Center (EOC), located in Richmond, KY, is home to the Madison County Fire Department, 9-1-1 Telecommunications, and Emergency Management Agency/Chemical Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Program. In 2014, the EOC began a major renovation and expansion of its facility—including a complete overhaul of its existing Audio/Visual system. Trinity Video worked with Madison County’s building architects and contractors to design a system that would allow both analog and digital signals to be easily routed to any display within the facility. Madison County required 23 flat-screen displays—some with CATV signal—varying in size and resolution for multiple rooms. Trinity recommend using a Crestron digital media switcher with scalers at each of the displays, as well as a QSC Q-SYS audio scaler. In the main EOC, Trinity installed a 2×2 55” Planar LCD quad-view video wall for viewing one large image or four separate screens, as well as two wireless touchscreens for control flexibility. Trinity also installed four 84” SMART boards, two projectors, and two motorized drop-down screens for training rooms and group meeting spaces.
