St. Michael Church
Louisville, KY
St. Michael Catholic Church was built in 1980, in a rural community located on the outskirts of Louisville, KY. Since that time, the area has experienced tremendous growth due to an increase in new home construction, new office park buildings and the addition of an elementary school. As a result, St. Michael Church membership has grown from 300 families to more than 1,200. The parish needed a much bigger church, as well as modern solutions, for communicating to their large congregation.

St. Michael Church selected Trinity Video to help them better connect with parishioners who regularly attend services, meetings, and other special events, as well as with those members who are physically unable to attend mass. Trinity installed two wall-mount displays—one in the church foyer, and one in a large gathering room—to showcase important announcements/upcoming events and to use with DVDs and PowerPoint presentations. For those unable to attend mass, Trinity recommended a Sony camcorder, tripod, lavalier mics, and a transmitter/receiver to stream services in real time. This equipment, with the addition of a TriCaster and a light creator kit, has also provided St. Michael’s church, school, and youth group the tools they need to create semi-professional videos.
